This is a deleted scene from the Outpost Original, Afghanistan, the story of former Royal Marine James Glancy’s return to Afghanistan, where he witnessed the fall of a nation as America cut its losses and deserted its Afghan allies, leaving the Taliban to sweep back into power.
In this sequence, the filmmakers hear of a refugee camp in Southern Kandahar, and make the perilous journey there by car, finding hundreds of people totally abandoned by their government, seemingly left to their fate as the Taliban close in.
However, upon leaving the camp, things take a turn for the worse as the team make their way to government controlled territory, and are forced to take drastic measures to ensure they make it back….
