Good analysis. It is sad that Cambridge chose DEI and Jason Arday’s potential as a ‘poster boy’ over the truth and meritocratic, rigorous recruitment practices. Where was the university’s duty of care to support their employee when he clearly needed it?
The Good Law Project is not just a misnomer. Their first Arday letter was signed by many who either did not know or chose to ignore the facts. The second letter is an anarchist’s charter. The press are not there to say only what its signatories can bear to hear without seeking a place of safety and their drug of choice to sublimate them out of the real world.
I’m always confused by the staggering naivety of those driven by faux moral outrage calling for more State censorship of the media, as they completely fail to see that at some point that very same censorship could be used against their interests by an Establishment of a different stripe.
No vigil for Henry Novak or Anne Widdecombe. But a serial fantasist enabled by the DEI machine tragically takes his own life after being exposed and the usual suspects lose their minds.
The far left in the UK so badly want their George Floyd moment - a perfect excuse to threaten, harass, sack and purge those whom they disagree with from polite society.
I have friends and family, as I suspect many have, who decry the media “witch hunt” but would not ever consider having a full and frank discussion about this incredibly difficult subject. I am wrong (and probably hateful) and that is the end of it. If Jason Arday had been a white man, would they react in the same way? I doubt it.
The outraged social justice warriors who organised Arday's vigil, weren't outraged at all when Henry Nowak's demise was made public … I wonder why ?🤔
